1. A Roger Rabbit sequel is being rumored…
2. Yellow Submarine is being remade in 3D!
3. A person named Wilson, fashioned a recalcitrant sinner yesterday, is already showing himself reformed as a lying and intolerant creep. Interesting makeover.

Flock is growin’ up. Last time I tried it (see below) I was not into social anything, and now it’s centralish to me (I’m changing too) so I am giving it another test run. Hope it is handy and can save my flipping through myriad pages. Anyone else got comments on using Flock for socialness? Let us know.

Yes, I tried both Debian and Ubuntu and I’m going with Ubuntu. I’ve been using it since about October and I’m very happy with most aspects of it. Had some trouble upgrading last time and had to do it fresh but that was just after getting the previous version. Now I have much more saved. . .not sure if I want to do it again from scratch, especially getting back all the specific stuff I had saved, settings and software packages etc. But it’s great to use and very stable. Fantastic, highly recommended.

Working as hard as possible through a wall of mucus . . . I mean . . . I’ve got a cold and I still have to work on these technical edits for colleagues of . . . (layers of layers). Not easy work. Especially as since it’s hard to breathe it’s hard to concentrate too ‘cos it’s hard to sleep so that’s probably why I got the order wrong just now. Well, I think I’d better get back to it. . .

A Time to Remember, ‘cos it will not last forever

This Tuesday was a grand day. We set out early to go to Kaohsiung, then got there to do the final paperwork and other hurdles and got my diploma. Doctor of Philosophy in English Literature, baby!

Then lunch at the new Outback Steakhouse. . .fabulous!

Planning for new bookshelves at Ikea, and shopping for goodies at Costco.

Then, as they were calling for a typhoon (which never came), we set out for home. Lovely!

I want to remember this day in the future.
